You may be correct Kevin, however pronouns are important to enough people that LinkedIn felt the desire to provide the feature. There are lots of people who have different opinions than we do. If my publicly stated opinion isolates me from some employers, I'm good with that. I don't want to work for people who can't accept people who are different than them anyway. I am sure there are lots of other people who feel the same way. However, the big question I still have is this - how does another person's opinion of how to use their LinkedIn Profile, as long as they are not violating the terms of services or attacking others in any way, impact those who disagree with them? The only complaints I have heard regarding pronouns from anyone is - I don't like this. Thanks for coming back to the conversation.

You have to put something in the Company Name. If you do not have a registered business and are working for yourself be creative. If your name is John Adams and you are a writer, maybe use a Company Name like "John Adams Writer" It is not a legal field, put what you want, but make it relevant.

Yes, unless your comment is deleted, it will be visible to others.

It may take a day to get it back on, but just log back in.

After 2 days, no, you can not delete what was sent. If you block them they can still the message and IMG. Your name is gone, but they still have the info.

No, unless you add your self as an employee or engage on the page as yourself, no one will ever know it is your page and that you created it.

LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, Quora, Amazon, WordPress, SquareSpace, etc, etc all rely on web based customer service. I do not think any of them are shady sites. They just have decided to service the average customer differently than you would like.

Regardless of what they searched for, if your LinkedIn profile was in the results, it counts as another search

I do not post, or have had to post in multiple languages. My recommendation would be to only post in your native language, however depending on your business focus, there could be a need to post in different languages. Maybe put the additional language posts on your company page. Just a thought. If you want to strategize on this, we could arrange a session.

In your Intro section (or Top Card), you can only show 1 education entry. The other schools are shown in the Education section.

If you are not logged into LinkedIn, they will not get notified about anything regarding you or your actions.

@@TLBurriss thank you so much for replying. i have heard from some users that users got notified from a Google search without logged in like “you have a profile visit from X City” as location from IP adress. Is it possible, have you ever heard such thing?

No. Once you log back into your LinkedIn Account it is no longer in hibernation mode. All changes/updates to your LinkedIn Profile are public as you do them.

A statement from LinkedIn a few months ago said that they do not. However, I recommend you do testing. Write a post with an external link and measure the reach. Then write a similar post on the same topic without the external link and measure the reach. Your audience may not want to click on an external link themselves. Every audience is a little different.

It said: "We are unable to close this account." When I try to close it.

I have seen this before. Do something with the account, complete any creation validation steps, update the profile, do some search actions and after a few days try to delete it again, If this fails contact LinkedIn Support. Good luck

@@TLBurriss Thank you for your replied. I did try to hybernate my account to wait for the customer service to contact me, then after 24h I come back to my account and it said: your account has been restricted, I mean I haven't done anything suspicious!

@@13-hatuanat81 Your orignal question was how to close the account. I do not know what happened to your account, put if it is permanently restricted, it will go away. If it is not permanently restricted, you could try to recover it and then close it properly, but that may be more work than you want/need to do. Reposting with your thoughts moves the content to your own post and removes any engagement already going on with the original post. Commenting in a meaningful way and participating in the already ongoing conversation could be better for your personal brand. If the post already has good engagement and conversations, stay there, use a comment

If you are discovered using the like button on irrelevant or worse, content that is disrespectful to your profressional brand, the action could be detrimental to your brand.

I tested this tonight, (04/14/24) If you block them from the your post they commented on, you get an option to delete their comment, or not. If you block the user from their LinkedIn Profile, you do not get the option to also remove the comment and it will stay for others to see.

Gulmira, every situation is different, I can only share what I have learned from others as I have not had my account restricted. Remember, if you can reply to the email they send to you, respond professionally and let them know that LinkedIn is a business tool for you and you rely on the profile and network you have built over the years. However, there is no guarantee that they will reinstate your account. Good luck.
